Errrmmm, looks like I had the wrong week number on last week’s Foto Funday post …… not sure how I managed that, but I am correcting it for this week, & then I’ll go edit the title for last week! 
Now as for this week’s photos, isn’t that young buck just beautiful?? When I snapped this I was just shooing him away from our pond area – our motion-activated sprinklers that normally keep the deer away from our gardens were temporarily off & he tried to sneak in! His horns are so wonderfully velvety right now – very pretty!
Last Sunday we spent the day at a huge family gathering – my uncle’s annual catfish & onion ring fry! It was fabulous! The only downside was that I left my camera battery at home in the charger, so I was unable to take pictures at the event! 
I felt so lost because of it. lol! They have a beautiful pond there, larger than ours, which has a marvelous waterfall pouring out of the rocky hillside. I will definitely be bringing my camera *and* charged batteries along on our visit there in September!
With all the cool weather we’ve been having in the Pacific Northwest this year, it is hard to believe it’s actually HOT everywhere else in the US. Would you believe we actually had to have a little fire in the woodstove one morning this week just to get the chill of the house. It had been too cold for too many mornings in here and we just had to warm it up a little. 
Now today it is actually supposed to warm up to the 80s before it cools back down again for the rest of the week. I plan to definitely enjoy it!
I also think this little garden visitor of ours will enjoy it, too … a little garter snake.
I often marvel at the beauty & intricacies of God’s smaller creation, as in the little 3/8” frogs I’ve had all around the place this week, as well as all the different kinds of moths there, such as this one. Isn’t his coloring just something?
And I have to show off this wonderful, fun pack of papercrafting goodies I received this week from Natasha over at Moments of Tranquility. I was so excited to learn that my name was drawn in one of her blog giveaways, and when the package arrived I was just thrilled! Just look at this pack of stuff to play with …
